On The Snow

Dear Friends -

It is always bittersweet to announce we have closed. The 2008-2009 season at Paoli Peaks and the Arctic Blast Tube Park has come to an end.  We have had a great season! Our slopes have only been closed one day since our opening on December 20th, 2008.  That was February 11th  and due to strong straight line winds, not lack of snow. Our snow stayed with us for the most part right up to the end. It is amazing to see how fast it has left us now!  Carnival Day was great!  The sun was shining. Temps were in the 70's. Smiling faces everywhere. There were several sunburned faces and even a few sunburned heads (mine included).  If you weren't here to see the cardboard race - you missed a great event.  It was amazing the talent and creativity on some of those cardboard sleds.  Our reps from Pisten Bully would have been  proud! Our Mt. Ops challenge for the slosh pits was never threatened. We did have some great ski, board, and tube showmanship.  That little kicker was the difference this year!!!!! I think the biggest event was the bikini race.  We had quite a parade of "beauties". The female parade was definitely the most popular!!!!  But the guys got their share of cheers from the girls! Even with the springlike condtions, it was a great day on the slopes and a great way to end the season. We appreciate the support of our many seasonpass holders, guests, and staff.  Thanks for making our 31st season a success!   If I don't see you over the summer, hope to see you bck on the slopes during the  2009-2010 season.  Have a great spring, summer and fall!  Sean
